"I Will Never Surrender"

Tue May 27, 2008 at 04:38:56 PM PDT

John W "I'm like Bush, only crazier" McSame gave a speech on nuclear weapons, today.

Before I say anything else, I have to give him credit for one thing: At least he can fucking PRONOUNCE the word "new-klee-er", unlike the idiot we're stuck with until January.

Anyhoo, the speech was interrupted by pro-peace activists no less than 4 times. After one of the interruptions, the presumptive batshit crazy party nominee said the above, "I will never surrender in Iraq. Our American troops will come home with victory and honor."

Which begs a question or three:

The obvious question is, "How do you define 'victory', Mr. McSame?" Of course, by now, we're used to that goalpost being moved so often that it's really a waste of time to ask, so I'll take a brief stab at it before I move on to question two.

"The troops will come home victorious when they're leaving an American ally in charge in Iraq", or perhaps, "There will be no need for them to come home from this American paradise in the middle east, they'll be handing out duty at our most favored bases in the new Iraqi paradise to the best soldiers for the next 100 years!"

Or something equally delusional...

So, "How do you define 'surrender', Crash?" Realizing that John W done gradeeated 894th out of his class of 899, I don't expect a real clear or understandable answer to that question, either, but I'd expect something along these lines:

"If our troops come home before we've established a pro-American democracy in Iraq, we have surrendered." (Thinking back to the "domino theory" of the middle-east that was being propounded around the time we invaded, this could be extended to "pro-American democracies across the middle east".)

Which begs question 3: "Has an occupying force, since at least the time of Rome, ever been welcomed to stay in the country it was occupying?"

Biggest "embassy" in history, anyone?

Of course, the military-industrial media won't ask "Bush's third term" about these questions.
